Schwarze Eiche – Black Oak, is a digital illustration project to the text from Nina Weber “Schwarze Eiche”.
ZHdK – Digital Illustration, 2018
Schwarze Eiche – Black Oak, is a rather experimental and free interpretation of the text “Schwarze Eiche” from Nina Weber, which is very poetic.
The task of the course was to integrate the illustrations within a given publishing series. It was an interdisciplinary module and we had the chance to learn from specialists out of this specific field, digital illustration.
Fingerspitzen.
There might be a tiger outside.
We're sitting in your room imagining a fire.
We hold our hands over the fire and touch it with our hands.
Fingertips our fingertips. From your many plants
arms grow toward us and flowers from the arms.
Outside perhaps a tiger under house tall trees with leaves
as big as sheets.
Outside perhaps a black water without reflection.
Outside perhaps ivy and snakes awake around the house high trees.
send us under the leaves as big as sheets.
Outside perhaps movements and behind the movements their
Shadows.
Outside maybe cold and cats.
Outside maybe a dance within many bodies.
Outside perhaps a darkness filled with possibility.
In your room books are piled up, burnt candles are standing
with a broken wick.
I came in and said hello.
You said this is my room, this is where I live my life.
Outside it is different, I said.
That's true, you said, but if it's different outside, then
it's just as different as it's different than it is in here.
It's complicated, I said.
That's beautiful and important, you said and then I put
and touched me with my fingertips yours
Fingertips.
In your room, a thousand pictures on the wall.
In your room a peacock that does not scream and always a wheel
beats. The peacock has a frame in it and no souls, has
a wire frame inside itself.
In your room the carpet you want to sleep on.
When we kiss, the fire goes inside of us and
through our mouths it goes from you to me and from me to you.
Outside somebody stole my bike and ztut the reality
in your eyes.
Fenser . out, at.
You look out through your room to the window, at
It's night outside with me and fire is inside with you
red and movable.
